About
Warneckea mouririifolia is a shrub endemic to the humid coastal forests of Kenya. Its leaves are typically subsessile to shortly petiolate, often longitudinally 3-nerved, and may have a granular surface. Small, 4-merous flowers with whitish or bluish petals give way to berry-type fruits, which are crowned by a persistent calyx.
Where it works in Kilifi
This Kenyan endemic is ideal for a Kilifi-coast garden, thriving in the humid conditions of a coastal forest setting. It can be placed in semi-shaded areas with well-drained soil, potentially functioning as an understorey shrub or a specimen plant.
