A spreading, much-branched shrub or small tree, typically growing up to 5 metres tall. Young shoots are covered in brownish hairs, which become smooth with age. It bears oblanceolate leaves, up to 7 cm long, and produces creamish to pale yellow flowers. The fruits are ovoid, reaching up to 4 cm in diameter, with a distinctive short terminal rostrum.
