Where it works in Kilifi
This shrub is well-suited for a warm climate garden, making it ideal for the Kilifi coast. It thrives in bright filtered light to partial shade and requires well-drained soil, making it suitable for mixed borders or as a colourful specimen plant.
Growing notes
Justicia species generally exhibit fast growth and prefer consistent soil moisture, though they should not be left in boggy conditions to prevent root rot. Regular pruning can promote a bushier plant and encourage more abundant flowering.
