About
A climbing shrub with slender, smooth branchlets. Its simple, ovate leaves are about 1.5 inches long, shiny above, and ciliate on the margin. It produces white flowers, and small black berries, about 1/5 inch in diameter.
Where it works in Kilifi
Ideal as a climbing specimen or integrated into a mixed border in Kilifi gardens. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained sandy soils.
Growing notes
This species requires consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, but ensure the soil is not waterlogged. Once established, it shows some drought tolerance. Pruning after flowering helps maintain its form.
