About
This indigenous small tree or shrub typically grows up to 3 to 10 metres tall. It features leaves with (2-)3-4 pairs of obovate-oblanceolate, elliptic, obovate or nearly round leaflets, measuring 0.4–3.2 cm long and 0.3–2 cm wide, which are rounded and often notched at the apex. The plant produces small, globose fruits, each approximately 0.8–1 cm long.
Where it works in Kilifi
Well-suited for the Kilifi coast, this tree thrives in bright, direct sunlight and prefers well-draining, loamy soil. It can be planted as a specimen tree or for shade in coastal gardens, adapting to seasonally dry tropical conditions.

This species prefers bright, direct sunlight and well-draining loamy soil. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and requires infrequent watering, allowing the soil to dry out almost completely between watering sessions.
