About
This shrub, sometimes scandent, can reach up to 3 metres in height. Its young branches are covered in short, greyish to brown stellate hairs. It produces terminal and leaf-opposed axillary cymes, bearing 6 to 24 white to pale greenish cream flowers; the sepals are 8–11 mm long and greyish pubescent on the outside, while the petals are lanceolate and measure 3–6 mm long and 0.5–1 mm wide.
Where it works in Kilifi
This species is well-suited for coastal Kilifi gardens and landscapes, thriving in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It can be planted as a standalone specimen or integrated into mixed shrub plantings, particularly in areas with altitudes between 0 and 400 metres.

This species thrives in warm conditions and exhibits moderate drought tolerance once established. It prefers moist, well-drained soil, though it can adapt to various soil types, and requires regular watering every 1-2 weeks during dry spells.
