About
This highly branched annual herb typically grows up to 75 cm, occasionally reaching 2 meters, with stems that can be green or pinkish-red. Its opposite, lance-shaped to elliptic leaves, up to 15 cm long, are distinctly three-veined from the base and have finely toothed margins. Small, yellow or whitish flower heads are produced in dense clusters.
Where it works in Kilifi
Ideal for disturbed areas, marsh edges, or coastal sites in a Kilifi garden, tolerating full sun and moist to saline soils. Its weed-like nature suggests it is well-suited for restoration of degraded lands.
