About
Euphorbia pereskiifolia is a laxly-branched, evergreen, succulent shrub or tree, capable of reaching up to 5 metres tall. Native to coastal East Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania, and Mozambique, it typically grows in sandy soil or on rocks within seasonally dry tropical coastal or riverine woodlands, at elevations from sea-level up to 250 metres. This species, like many in its genus, produces a milky latex sap which is known to be toxic.

This species thrives in a Kilifi-coast garden, preferring full sun and well-drained, sandy soils or rocky areas, reflecting its native coastal and riverine woodland habitat. Its shrub to small tree form makes it suitable as a specimen plant, for providing light shade, or for use in restoration projects within appropriate biomes.
