About
This tree or shrub typically reaches 3 to 12 metres in height, featuring dark brown or black bark on its branchlets that can be smooth or mottled and flaking. Its lanceolate-elliptic leaves are subcoriaceous with undulate margins. It produces sweetly scented white flowers and yellow, subglobose fruits up to 2.8 cm long.
Where it works in Kilifi
Thriving in seasonally dry tropical environments, this plant is suitable for Kilifi-coast gardens. It can serve as a medium-sized specimen tree or for restoration purposes in areas receiving full sun, given its natural habitat in southeastern Kenya.
