About
Cyphostemma duparquettii is a succulent shrub or liana native to southeastern Kenya and eastern Tanzania, thriving in dry, rocky areas. It features thick, fleshy leaves and produces small, white flowers with five petals and sepals. The plant yields small, black, round seeds. This species can reach up to 4 metres in height and is valued as an ornamental garden plant and for its traditional medicinal uses.
Where it works in Kilifi
This plant is best suited for Kilifi coast gardens in full sun or partial shade, thriving in well-drained soil. It makes an excellent specimen plant and can be incorporated into xeriscaping due to its drought tolerance.
