About
This Combretum is a shrub, typically found in seasonally dry tropical biomes. Its leaves are elliptic to ovate, 2–4.5 cm long, often crowded on short shoots, and feature golden scales, particularly on the underside. The plant produces white, four-petalled flowers in spikes, and its distinctive fruits are oblong, 4-winged, about 1.7–2 cm long, and covered in reddish or golden scales.
Where it works in Kilifi
Suited for Kilifi coast gardens, this shrub thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, reflecting its natural habitat in seasonally dry tropical regions. It can serve as an ornamental specimen in mixed plantings.
