About

This robust, stemless aloe forms striking rosettes of long, grey-green leaves often tinged with red at the margins. It produces tall, branched flower spikes with vibrant orange-red to yellow tubular flowers, adding a dramatic vertical element.

Where it works in Kilifi

Ideal for sunny spots and well-drained soil, this aloe makes an excellent specimen plant or adds architectural interest to rockeries and drought-tolerant gardens. Plant as an accent near paths or in mixed borders where its form can be appreciated.

Growing notes

A moderately fast-growing aloe, it is highly drought-tolerant once established and requires minimal watering. It thrives in warm coastal climates, needing little care beyond occasional tidying of old leaves.
