About
Newtonia paucijuga is a medium to large deciduous tree, typically reaching 35-40 metres, with a straight, cylindrical trunk and smooth, light grey bark. Its bipinnate leaves feature 1-2 pairs of pinnae, each with 2-3 pairs of obovate to elliptical leaflets. The tree produces dense, spike-like racemes of whitish flowers and flattened, reddish-brown pods containing winged seeds.
